Cassandra R. Beverley

Attorney at Law

I came to live in Maryland over 50 years ago when my father's service in the United States Army brought us to Aberdeen Proving Grounds. My Dad and Mom, a nurse, taught me the values of hard work, discipline, integrity and service to community. These values have guided me throughout my life. They lead me to study and briefly work in the field of social work before attending law school. My first legal job was as a legal assistant and later a staff attorney with the Baltimore City Department of Social Services. My training in social work and the skills gained while working to protect abused and neglected children resulted in me focusing a large part of my practice on family and juvenile law.

I started my private practice while living in Baltimore City before returning to Harford County with my husband to raise our children. Coming from a working-class background, I fully appreciate how hard people work for their money. When a person or family decides to trust me to handle their case, I feel an obligation to work as hard for them as they worked to earn their money. I want each person to feel that their money was well spent. I pride myself on listening carefully to my clients to provide the best and most accurate representation. I take the time to ensure that my clients understand the various stages of their case. I want my clients to feel that I did all that I did my best to ensure that the Judge or Magistrate truly heard and understood their position.

I'm a sole practitioner, so your case will be handled by me from beginning to end. I have a reputation as a fighter but also as an effective advocate. I look forward to working with you should you decide to trust me with your case.
